It’s that time of year again! The kids are back in school and the smell of barbeque smoke drifts through downtown Plymouth as the annual Fall Festival is here. September 5-7, 2014 will be non-stop pancakes, spaghetti, and barbeque chicken along with carnival rides for all ages, midway games, concerts, car show, and attractions for everyone.
Downtown streets are closed off and for one weekend, downtown Plymouth is transformed into a local fair with all the pre-requisites. I have to admit, this is one of my personal favorites of all the festivals that happen in Plymouth – good fun for the whole family and another great reason the area continues to thrive. Venture into Downtown Plymouth’s Kellogg Park tomorrow in support of thousands of men and women participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. For the 5th consecutive year the fundraising walk will travel through Downtown Plymouth along Main Street and Ann Arbor Trail. Join a cheering squad near the park or along the route!
The next neighborhood we’ve put our focus on is the City of Plymouth’s New England Village. Located West of Sheldon and North of N.Territorial, New England Village feeds to Bird Elementary and West Middle School – both a short walk away.
