The Ice Festival is one of several street festivals in Downtown Plymouth that take place throughout the year (usually). The area is very walkable with plenty of parks, shops, restaurants, and entertainment – along with plenty of parking. Plymouth also has beautiful residential tree-lined streets with lots of gorgeous historic homes making it one of the area’s prettiest and most walkable small towns.
It’s Fall which means it’s festival time again – this weekend Downtown Northville is up with the Northville Heritage Festival celebrating the rich history and small town charm of historic Northville. The Parade kicks off at 6:30pm on Friday and it’s the highlight of the Festival and well worth seeing (unless you are in it yourself!). Activities and events for all ages will be taking place across Northville until Sunday afternoon

Northville’s annual Tapped in the ‘Ville beer festival features some of the best local, state and regional brews. Food Trucks will be on site as well as live entertainment and a cornhole tournament

The Northville Art House shines a spotlight on the imagination, art, talent and cultural diversity of artists throughout the region when the annual Arts and Acts Festival returns for the sixth consecutive year June 16-18 in historic downtown Northville. The Festival includes the 29th annual juried fine art show Art in the Sun, featuring over 70 talented artists; the Sandbox Play Festival produced by Tipping Point Theatre; the Short on Words Literary Contest; musical entertainment featuring some of metro Detroit’s top musicians; Children’s Activities; the Northville Art House Chalk Festival; our new Young Artist Juried Art Fair; and a large variety of festival food and drink.

One of the areas last outdoor festivals of the summer – the Northville Food Truck Festival puts together mobile food, a car show, beer garden, live music and even an outdoor food themed movie for the whole family. Go to Ford Field in downtown Northville Saturday, August 23rd for this unique event.
The 2014 edition of Art in the Park is coming this weekend to downtown Plymouth. Summer is here and Art in the Park is one of Plymouth’s main attractions as the downtown transforms itself into a pedestrian friendly shopping smorgasbord. As usual, there will be plenty to see, do, and buy as long as the weather co-operates. One of the great things about Plymouth is how walkable the City is – not just the downtown. We see many visitors park in the neighborhoods and walk downtown to the fair. There are even plenty of garage sales timed to coincide with this event for extreme shopping nirvana.
