Updated January 13th, 2010: it’s been several months now and Le George continues to impress. We stop by there for lunch quite often and the service is always top notch. Ask for the recommended specials which we do or just go for a sandwich.
Update August 13, 2010: Le George is now open! If you are looking for an upscale bar/restaurant specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine, Le George might be worth a try. The interior is very nicely decorated and there’s even an outdoor seating area! We had lunch there today and the place was very busy. There is also a convenient take-out menu if you are on the go. For more information, call Le George at (248) 924-2016.
Walking in downtown Northville today, we noticed the new Le George Mediterranean Bar and Restaurant under construction. The sign on the window suggests a Spring 2010 opening so let’s look forward to a new business downtown. le George is located at 124 E. Main St. in downtown Northville.
Update: April 15th, 2010: Sun & Snow is now open!
Update March 27th, 2010: It’s Diva Day and Sun & Snow had a sneak preview opening. There were plenty of swimming gear for sale and the store is coming along nicely. Too bad winter is already over there and ski season is behind us. We did stop by the Ann Arbor location several times this winter and hoped that the Plymouth location would carry ski equipment but they are keeping that in AA.
Update March 25, 2010: Walking by the new Sun & Snow today, you could see window displays and plenty of merchandise filling the store. All are good signs of an immiment grand opening!
The ebb and flow of business continues in Downtown Plymouth as Sun & Snow takes over the old Parkside Gallery location on the corner of Ann Arbor Trail and Main St. This family owned and operated business will make a great addition to the range of shops and restaurants we already have. Sun & Snow will offer a wide range of sports and outdoors products – including skis which is especially timely for us since our son is learning to ski this year! The renewal of the downtown area is proving that our community has a strong foundation – even with the recession. Just stop by any of the bars/restaurants on a weekend evening and you’ll see that Plymouth commerce is alive and well. Look for Sun & Snow to open later this winter. Update: May 19, 2010 – This wonderful in town Toy Store has been a regular destination for our family. It’s a great place to pick up the last minute birthday gift and card. They can even wrap the gift too. In fact, we’ll be stopping by today (again).
The children of Plymouth continue to eagerly await the opening of a new toy store in downtown. Located on Forest, the Genuine Toy Co. is on the verge of opening and helping to bolster Plymouth’s position as a retail and entertainment destination with an All-American small town atmosphere! What a positive statement to see so many new and diverse businesses continue to open and flourish despite the overall economy.
