Northville High School Receives Authorization to Offer International Baccalaureate Diploma Program Beginning in 2014-15

nhsMany parents have probably heard about the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills which ranks in the Top 10 of all High Schools in the United States (2014 US News and World Report). Now, Northville High School is the newest member of an ever-growing global community of schools offering the International Baccalaureate. Northville High recently received authorization to begin offering the IB Diploma Program to highly motivated 11th and 12th graders beginning with the 2014-15 school year. The IB Diploma Program is an academically rigorous and internationally-focused course of study.

Plymouth’s downtown Cozy Cafe is well known to locals and walking by today, you’ll notice a pretty significant name and menu change. So if you are in the mood for some Beef Bulgogi, look no further than the Cozy Cafe!  Of course, other restaurants in the area also offer sushi, sashimi and other Asian inspired menu items. But I believe this is the only Korean menu in the downtown Plymouth Area. We’ll let them get settled and then stop by and give the Kimchi a try.

A downtown Plymouth landmark, Doyle’s on Fralick is now the new Stella’s Black Dog Tavern. And that’s just one of the many changes happening right now in the City.  The old Grecian Cafe at 413 N. Main is moving dramatically upscale re-opening soon as Aqua.  Panache on Forest is now the Bamboo and the closed Rock Bar on Penniman has become the latest location for The Post Local Bistro. So the restaurant scene in Plymouth continues to show vitality as new and current business owners are investing in upgraded facilities, updated menus, and new branding. This kind of turnover is healthy in an industry that is constantly changing in order to attract and keep existing and new customers happy.
