Northville
Northville, Michigan is known for its rich landscape of rolling hills, pastoral countryside, the historic downtown, stately Victorian era homes, and tree-lined streets. The Northville community is made up of the City of Northville and the broader Charter Township of Northville.

Both are located primarily in western Wayne County with a small section in southern Oakland County.  The major thoroughfares of I-275 and M-14 are nearby and travel time is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Detroit, 25 minutes from downtown Ann Arbor, and 25 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport, Northville’s convenient location is one of the many benefits of living here.

The Northville School District has 6 Elementary schools, two Middle and one High School. The math and reading MEAP scores for the Northville Public Schools district run 35% above the state averages and City of Northville

Traditional, American small-town atmosphere defines the City of Northville with walkable downtown street and neighborhoods. There are old-fashioned street lamps, benches, specialty shops, galleries, theaters, restaurants, businesses, and preserved landmarks.

Northville has many restaurant choices ranging from a finer dining experience at Table 5 to The Garage Grill & Fuel Bar, Lucy and the Wolf, Koji, Le George, and Poole’s Tavern. The downtown streetscape includes a town square where live music can be heard on Friday nights throughout the summer months.

Northville is also home to the Tipping Point Theater. A small and quaint, 100 seat professional theater with classic plays, world premieres and musicals, and current off-Broadway productions.

There is of course a local Farmer’s Market held weekly during the growing season, May through October. Many festivals and fun events are held throughout the year including the Heritage Festival and Buy Michigan Now Festival.  There was even a Rib-Fest in 2015 along with Halloween’s Skeletons are Alive, and finally the Holiday Greens market.

Northville is also home to the Mill Race Historical Village, created in 1972 by the Northville Historical Society. The Village serves as a focal point for the Northville Community while preserving architectural styles common to the area prior to 1900. The village was built on 12.5 acres or land donated to the City of Northville by the Ford Motor Company. The Village consists of an inn, blacksmith shop, school, church, gazebo, rustic wooden bridge, a general store an Interurban station and several homes reminiscent of an era gone by.

A well known treasure tucked into Northville’s historic Cabbagetown neighborhood is Paramenters Cider Mill. They sell a variety of products from apple cider, plain and spice donuts made fresh daily, apple pie, apple butter and several other apple inspired products. Paramenters is open from the end of August through to near the end of November.

Northville Township

Beyond the City, is the Charter Township of Northville – established in 1898. What was once a rural farming region is today a thriving residential, recreational, and business community. You’ll find a balanced mix of rural heritageincluding rambling farmhouses on gravel roads, traditional neighborhoods, and a bucolic landscape among newer developments.

In more recent years, Northville Township has become home to some of southeast Michigan’s most desirable home and condominium developments.  These communities offer everything from golf courses, pools, lake-front and water sports, tennis, walking and biking trails, playgrounds and more.

Northville was also once home to many large State and County institutions, which have mostly been re-purposed. Maybury State Park was once the site of a Sanitarium and is now a local natural treasure where you can fish, ride a horse or mountain bike, and walk miles of hiking trails.  Whether you are searching for a classic home on acreage or a newer home with all the upgrades and amenities, Northville Township will have something for you.
